Description
Human trafficking has become a significant issue in the Central Valley, particularly in Fresno, where Central Valley Against Human Trafficking reported 2,162 trafficking victims in 2023. Of these victims, 1,609 were adults and 489 were minors. The majority, 85%, were involved in sex trafficking, while 13.32% were victims of labor trafficking, and 8.41% were subjected to both forms of exploitation. This troubling trend is growing annually, highlighting an urgent need for action.
We are excited to partner with Kim Conteras, a local extended family with the Well, working with World Impact. For years, Kim and her family have been providing a safe haven for victims of trafficking. This season, we invite you to support this vital work by contributing to a toiletry kit for those who will be staying with them.
To participate, please sign up for the number of kits you are able to provide. You will receive an email with detailed instructions on what to include in the kits, how to pack them, and how you can offer your prayers for both the individuals being trafficked and Kim's ministry. Be sure to check your SPAM folder if the email doesn't appear in your inbox, as sometimes it may be filtered there.
Kits can range from $20-25 dollars.
