Description
Our large communal kitchen serves as the heart of Terry’s House! It’s where families support one-another, talk about their day, and most of all ... spend time healing together. Here's how you can help! We are seeking volunteers to help with our "Host-A-Meal" program, which gives families the opportunity to enjoy a "home cooked meal" while they care for their loved one. How does the "Host-A-Meal" program work? Easy! Select a date, plan a meal, show up, and serve! Meals can be prepared in-house, picked up at a local restaurant or catered. What do you need to bring? Please bring the following for a 50 person meal: All ingredients, disposable silverware, plates, napkins, and cups. Decorations are optional, but always create an uplifting atmosphere. Our kitchen is equipped with: Six cook-tops, two ovens, two microwaves, four crock-pots, pots, pans and cooking utensils. How you will benefit? Whether you're an individual volunteer or with a group, you'll see the immediate impact your meal provides and gain valuable volunteer experience. How to sign-up? If you’re interested in providing a meal for Terry’s House, please don’t hesitate to call or e-mail our Volunteer Coordinator, Whitney Horn, at (559) 459-2648 or WHorn@communitymedical.org.
