Description

Medical Ministries International (MMI) is a Christian-based Non-Profit organization that was incorporated on October 30, 1998. MMI was formed after the founders, Tom and Nancy Stoeckel, visited hospitals and clinics in third world countries and noted a complete lack of medical supplies and equipment in these places.

Packaging And Shipping

Packaging

Our most basic need for volunteers is in the sorting and packing of supplies that are donated to us. Volunteers ranging from having no medical experience to medical experts meet twice weekly in our Clovis office to sort through donations and pack them in preparation for shipments around the world.

All are welcome and encouraged to join us on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9am to 12pm for a time of fellowship and service.

Along with the weekly volunteer times we also have a monthly “Packing Party.” The Packing Party is the second Saturday of every month from 9am-12pm. This is a great time to learn more about MMI and see what we do firsthand. (Cancelled through the end of 2020)

If you are interested in seeing our volunteers in action and joining in we invite you to join us on any of these days in our Clovis office, located at 1004 San Jose ave #101, Clovis CA 93612.

Shipping

Another great opportunity for volunteer work is to join our shipping crew at our 2 Fresno locations every Tuesday and Thursday from 9am-12pm.

Once our donations have been sorted and packed in our Clovis office they are taken to our 2 Fresno locations and staged for shipment. Tuesday and Thursday work days involve the acquisition of donations, inventory organization and preparation of our current shipments, and loading shipments.

This is a great place for those interested in putting in a rewarding day of hard labor and having the opportunity of finalizing a shipment destined for someone in need. If you feel called to spend a day hard at work you are encouraged to join any Tuesday or Thursday at 2962 S. Cedar ave, Fresno, CA 93725.

Covid-19 Accommodations

Due to COVID-19, MMI is accepting up to 6 volunteers at a time at the Clovis warehouse and up to 10 volunteers at a time at the Fresno warehouse.

If interested in volunteering, please call ahead to confirm with Myra Smith at 559-324-1255.
