Community Life Garden seeks to benefit local communities by promoting healthy lifestyles, self-reliance and community giving through gardening activities and education programs, and by coordinating networking and social events that build community relationships and inspire people to help others in need.
Garden plots are available for community gardeners to adopt. Our Master Gardeners provide gardening education through workshops and hands on learning.
Several garden areas have been created to grow and harvest produce to donate to local food pantries. Our volunteer events help plant, maintain, water and harvest these areas.
Volunteers of all ages are welcomed during our events. We provide food and drinks to all our volunteers. We also provide gardening equipment, but encourage you to bring your own tools such as a shovel, gloves or a metal rake if you have them.
We do encourage you to wear work clothes, a hat on sunny days, and closed-toe shoes when you’re working at the garden. They are useful when you’re getting dirty and when using gardening tools.
Please visit our website to see our calendar for 2019. You can also like us on Facebook and see the latest flyer for our upcoming volunteer events and pictures from our previous events.
